North America

New World

North America is a continent in the Northern Hemisphere. It encompasses all the Caribbean and Central American countries, Bermuda, Canada, Mexico, the United States of America, and Greenland (the world’s largest island). This continent is so diverse that it has many different climates and landscapes.

The most famous landmarks in North America are:

Natural landmarks:

  • Grand Canyon, USA
  • Niagara Falls, USA/Canada
  • Redwood National Park, USA
  • Mauna Kea, Hawaii/USA
  • Pico de Orizaba, Mexico

Man-made landmarks:

  • Statue of Liberty, USA
  • Golden Gate Bridge, USA
  • Chichen Itza, Mexico
  • Capitol Building & The Mall
  • Empire State Building, USA

Anyone can visit North America anytime but the two best seasons to visit are Spring and Fall, between March to September.

The Winter months are November to March; however, places like Alaska can get worse during the winter months, so check the weather forecasts frequently since the USA has sudden blizzards during the winter season.

The USA has quite a landmass, so its climate can vary wildly from one region to another, generally hot summers and cold winters.
