We stayed at the Atlantida Villas in 2018, a traditional hotel apartment complex in the beautiful Oia settlement just above the Caldera. It overlooks the breathtaking volcano and the deep blue Aegean Sea. Unfortunately, the property is now permanently closed since Covid.
The village of Emporio is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Santorini. Venetsanos Winery, a family winery since 1947, is located in Megalochori village, built on the edge of the caldera, exactly above the Athinios Port.
Perissa Santorini
Perissa beach situated 15 km southeast of Fira extending for 7 km on the southeastern side of Santorini. This beach is unique for its black sand & crystalline waters. However, the enormous rock called Mesa Vouno that rises from the sea is the main attraction of the beach and the entire area. The highest point of Mount Taygetus has fantastic views of all the islands.
