June, July and August are the best months to visit  Norway for warmer temperatures and longer days. The warmest month is July.

 

Climate:

Most of Norway has a maritime climate with mild winters and cool summers. with the influence of the North Atlantic Ocean. The climate varies significantly from region to region, from below zero degrees to a maximum of 14°C (7°F).

Language: 

Norway is home to two official languages – Norwegian and Sami although English is widely spoken.


Currency:

The Norwegian Krone (kr)  is the official currency of Norway.


Banks & ATMs: 

The leading banks in Norway are:

Bank Norwegian AS, DNB Bank, Handelsbanken and Storebrand Bank ASA (to name a few). ATMs are widely available.

 

Plugs and Sockets:

There are two associated plug types, types C and F. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins, and plug type F is the plug which has two round pins with two earth clips on the side.  Norway operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.
 Consider carrying a universal adapter.

Local Culture: 

The culture of Norway is closely linked to the country’s history and geography. They value social and gender equality. They love munching on brown cheese and waffles, enjoying Scandinavian art and feasting during Christmastime.


Safety: 

Norway is considered a safe country with a low crime level, and violent crime is uncommon, but exercise normal precautions.
