Caesarea is a historical city located on the central coast of Israel, established by Herod the Great in the 1st century BCE and served as the capital Roman of Judea until the early 4th century CE. Ranked among the top attractions in the Holy Land, the city’s ruins are a popular tourist destination, featuring well-preserved archaeological remains such as the ancient theatre, the Hippodrome, and the impressive city walls.

How To Get There

CarIf you have a car, the quickest way to reach Caesarea is by driving on the coastal highway, which runs along the Mediterranean coast. The drive from Tel Aviv to Caesarea takes approximately 45 minutes.

Bus: Egged, Israel’s largest bus company, operates several bus routes that serve Caesarea. The quickest way to reach Caesarea by bus is to take the 947 or 948 lines from Tel Aviv.

Train: The nearest train station to Caesarea is the Hadera West station, about 10 km from the city. From there, you can take a taxi or bus to Caesarea.

Taxi: Taxis are widely available in Israel, and you can easily hire a taxi to take you from Tel Aviv or another nearby city to Caesarea.

Whichever mode of transportation you choose, it’s a good idea to plan your trip and check for any potential disruptions or delays before you begin the journey.
