Beautiful beaches, a great dining experience, and a superb national park are some of the offerings of Coffs Harbour and Sawtell!  Whether staying for a week, a month, or forever, you will be greeted with lots of activities to do here, like fishing, kayaking, bushwalking, and surfing. Animal lovers will get a treat by watching resident koalas or the whales at the headlands.

On the north coast of NSW, Coffs Harbour is approximately a six-hour drive from Sydney and four hours from Brisbane. This area is known for its beaches and famous Big Banana fun park.

On the other hand, Sawtell is a town adjacent to Coffs Harbour, and the villages together are referred to as “Coffs Harbour-Sawtell”.

Sawtell

The distance between Sawtell and Coffs Harbour is 8 km and is known for its Idyllic beaches, cool cafes and magnificent national park. Enjoy kayaking, fishing, surfing, bushwalking, and visit Bongil Bongil National Park to meet resident koalas. Whale watching is also famous in the headlands.

The koalas and the whales are places to visit in. Also, getting your amenities for the travel is easy because the place includes many stores and shops where you can get your supplies. It is a beautiful place where comfortable living is guaranteed. Keep your camera ready because this is an experience you’ll want to remember!

Places Of Interest

The most famous theme park in Coffs Harbour features rides and attractions for all ages.

Watch the Locals Surf

Being a beachside community, it offers many water activities like surfing. The Sawtell Beach is a home for the Sawtell Surf Club. You can take an afternoon nap on the sand while you enjoy the view of surfers gliding through the waves.

Watch the Whales

The headlands make an excellent spot for a whale watch experience. I met tour operators that offer whale-watching trips, and you’re sure to see some incredible creatures up close. There are even breaching whales you can spot if you’re lucky! Of course, it is also an excellent place to view the coastline.

The Coffs Harbour & Sawtell has many cafes, boutique shops, and restaurants. Offering varied treats for different taste buds, you can grab an al fresco meal along the shades of one of the many giant figs. You can also catch the Sawtell Chili Festival in July.
