Climate:

Italy’s Mediterranean climate has hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters.

Spring – March to May – popular time to visit Italy 26-28 °C

Summer – June to August are warm; temperatures average between 24-32℃.

July is generally the hottest month, with temperatures up to 30C (86F).

Autumn – September to November – average temperature is 5°C-26°C

October to November is the rainy season.

Winter – December to February – average temperature is 5°C-15°C, and January is the coldest month.

Banks & ATMs: 

There are three national banks, chartered banks, cooperative banks, and private banks. ATMs in Italy are known as Bancomat and can be found anywhere in large cities and small towns. The machine operates just as ATMs do anywhere else; it prompts the user for the preferred language at the beginning of the transaction.

 

Plugs and Sockets:

There are three associated plug types, types C, F and L. 

Plug type C has two round pins.

Plug type F has two round pins with two earth clips on the side

Plug type L is the plug type with three round pins 

Italy operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz

 

Highly recommended to carry an international plug adaptor.

 

Safety: 

Italy is safe to visit with low crime rates, but you need to be vigilant against pickpocketers.
