The average temperature is approximately 16.5°C, with a maximum temperature in summer at approximately 26.°C. Winters are mild, with average temperatures of 8-14 ° C.

With around 300 days of sunshine, you can visit Monaco anytime during the year.

Language: 

The official language of Monaco is French, although Italian and English are widely spoken.


Currency:

The Euro (€) is the official currency of Monaco.

The leading banks in Monaco are:

Barclays Wealth Monaco, Societe Generale Monaco, Safra Sarasin Credit Suisse, and Bank Julius Baer Monaco (to name a few). ATMs are available and widely used.

 

Plugs and Sockets:

There are three associated plug types, types C, E and F.

Plug type C is the plug with two round pins, plug type E is the plug with two round pins and a hole for the socket’s male earthing pin and plug type F is the plug with two round pins with two earth clips on the side. The standard voltage is 230 V, and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. 

Consider carrying a universal adapter.


Local Culture: 

Monaco has a glamorous and high-standard lifestyle with a culture characterised and represented by Italian and French influences.  Roman Catholicism is the main religion in Monaco, and the popular sports are football, golf, rugby, and tennis.


Safety: 

Monaco’s crime rate is one of the lowest in the world, so it is safe for tourists and remains a popular destination.

But always be vigilant in popular tourist hotspots, restaurants, shops, and public places for petty crimes.


Flight Connections:

The closest airport to Monaco is Nice (NCE). From Nice, you can fly by helicopter with Heli Air Monaco or Monacair or alternatively you can drive.
