Galle Fort Wall

Galle Fort stands surrounded by a strong wall with existing stronghold bastions, and within the walls, you will find a maze of narrow roads lined with small houses, restaurants, shops, villas, boutique hotels, museums and beautiful churches. Don’t miss the magnificent clock tower located on what was once the guardroom, overlooking the central Moon Bastion and Galle Cricket Stadium.

Take a walk around the Galle Fort Wall and view the old colonial town and beautiful views of the city and the sea.

Lighthouse

The Galle Lighthouse (also known as Pointe de Galle Light) is Sri Lanka’s oldest light station, constructed in 1939.

Located at the Point Utrecht Bastion, the lighthouse towers 87 feet at the cape’s southern end.
