Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country located on the island of Borneo and the Malay Peninsula, and its capital city is Kuala Lumpur. The country is known for its diverse cuisine, vibrant cities, tropical rainforests, stunning beaches and strong economy, with industries such as electronics, petroleum, palm oil, and tourism contributing significantly to its GDP. Malaysia’s government is a federal constitutional monarchy, with a king as the ceremonial head of state, together with a prime minister as the head of government. It is a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural nation. It is home to many notable landmarks and attractions, including the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, the Batu Caves, the historical city of Malacca, and the beautiful islands of Langkawi and Tioman.

THE BEST TIME TO VISIT

Malaysia is said to have two peak seasons, one during the winter (December – February) season and the other during the summer (June – August) season.

The best time to visit Malaysia is between December to April.

Malaysia has a tropical climate year-round, with an annual temperature of 25.4°C

Temperatures at sea level range from 21°C to 32°C, whilst higher elevations, it is much cooler, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C.

Culture:

Malaysia is a multicultural country whose main ethnic groups are native Malays, Chinese and India. 

Please make sure to respect religious sites and dress conservatively.

 

Safety: 

Petty crime, such as pickpocketing, purse snatching, and snatch-and-grab incidents, is prevalent, so be vigilant.
